CALINA STABLE
Our concept
As we both share the love for horses we would like to offer your horse the life that it deserves.
We are situated in a quiet location surrounded by beautiful nature. Veržej is located in the Eastern part of Slovenia, only 50 km away from Maribor and one hour from Graz Airport (Austria). Our small family run yard offers the opportunity to give every horse a lot of attention and love.
Our horses live in 2 large pastures, allowing them to live as naturally as possible - slowly integrated within a herd. Individual turnout can of course be arranged along with limited grazing should it be required.
Each horse will be given the individual care that they deserve to ensure their well being.

INDIVIDUAL APPROACH:
Doesn’t matter if your horse is in our stable for retirement, training or at livery we know that each one of them needs our special attention, therefore we want to keep their diet routines (including supplements and medications), meet their special needs and keep the mind and the body of each horse in a good shape.
ACCESS TO FIELDS:
We have 3 ha of fields to offer - with everyday access. In winter we can use the additional pastures in order to give some of the fields time to rest.
HIGH-STANDARD BOXES:
Our stable is equipped with boxes of 3.5 x 3.5 m with paddocks, all of them with rubber floors. In the boxes we have installed heated drinkers. The stabled livery includes daily muck out, first quality hay, quality bedding with dust free shavings.
QUALITY FOOD:
We know how important premium quality food is for every horse. Thus we partner with Cavalor for food and supplements. We also provide superior quality hay and straw from the local farmers.
VET CARE:
Minor ailments and first aid will be treated by us, with veterinary assistance if required. We'll always tell you if your horse has received first aid.

HORSE TRAINING:
We have years of experience in horse riding and working from the ground which we are using in the training. We are offering individual approach for every horse - training starting from basics.
Experience:

working with young horses, stallions and difficult ones

training with many great trainers and always taking what’s the best from each lesson

competing in show jumping until 1.25 m

more than hundred of different ridden horses

working for well-known show jumping riders as a home rider (riding from young till GP horses)
RIDING SCHOOL:
We are offering lessons for the beginners and more advanced ridders. Our two quarter horses are perfect teachers - thanks to their calm and docile characters. They know the basics very well and they are ready to teach you. We also offer hacking out in the beautiful nature that surrounds us. We have a lot of experience in horse riding which we are happy to share.
LIVERY:
For our clients we have available big riding arena, heated tackroom with toilet and shower and many hacking paths just behind the stable. We also offer training you and the horse to help you learn easier - on any level you are at. If you wish to bring your trainer with you we are open to that as well.
RETIREMENT LIVERY:
There are many reasons why horses rested and retired. Each one of them will be given the individual care that they deserve to ensure their well being. We would like to offer more than just a field for your horse, in our yard all horses will get regular grooming, blankets when needed and hacking walks in nature.
